On February 21, Swedepeace and its Afghan partner, Cooperation for Peace and Unity (CPAU), presented a Strategic Conflict Analysis of Afghanistan to the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the Swedish Parliament. On February 15, Swedepeace presented a report to Sida analysing options for supporting good governance in Northern Afghanistan. The report highlighted the importance of local governance for poverty reduction, strengthening democracy, as well as being an important tool for peacebuilding if implemented in a conflict sensitive way.
